Admission in Undergraduate Program

Admission requirements for B.Sc.Ag., B.Sc. HRT and B.V.Sc. & A.H. Program
Students with I.Sc. (Basic Science) or I.Sc. (Agriculture) or 10+2 (Science) with compulsory  English,   Physics,   Mathematics,   Chemistry  and   Biology  securing   a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate from Tribhuvan University or from other recognized universities and boards are eligible for admission Programmes. Selection for admission is on a merit basis through an entrance examination. Admission schedule for new students is generally in January in each year.
 
Admission in Postgraduate Program

Admission requirements for admission in Postgraduate Program
For M.Sc. Ag. degree, an applicant must have earned a B.Sc.Ag., or equivalent degree; for M.Sc.An.Sc., an applicant must have a B.Sc.Ag. or B.Sc.An.Sc., or B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent degree; for M.Sc. Aquaculture, an applicant must have a B.Sc.Ag., B.Sc.An.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. Aqua., M.Sc. Zoology or equivalent degree; and for M.V.Sc. degree, an applicant must have a B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent degree. The candidate  must  have  graduated  from  an  institution  where  undergraduate  teaching medium is English, with minimum 2nd division or an equivalent grade at the undergraduate level. The candidate must pass the entrance examination conducted by the institute in the given year. Final selection will be based on the merit list of the entrance examination.
For Ph.D. degree, an applicant must have earned an M.Sc.Ag. or equivalent degree in the related field. Candidate must have graduated from an institution where undergraduate and postgraduate teaching medium is English. They must have graduated in the 1st division or equivalent at the master level. They must have published at least two research articles in the journal as a senior author. In addition, confidential letters of recommendation from two referees who would be in a position to judge academic and research capabilities of the candidate to undertake the Ph.D. study successfully. Candidate must presents orally a concept research proposal for Ph.D. dissertation before the Ph.D. Committee. There is also provision of in-service candidates. The session generally starts in July-August of each year.
