A study was conducted to analyze farm televiewing behavior of farmers of
agricultural program of NTV. A total of 68 farmers from two cluster namely VDC
and municipality was randomly selected. The study revealed majority of the
farmers (56%) watched agriculture program 1-3 times a week. Most of the farmers
(85%) watched program at their free time. The overall viewing behavior of
majority farmers was average followed by poor and good viewing behavior. Both
the rural and urban farmers had average viewing behavior. Media exposure and
perceived usefulness of the program were significantly and positively related
with viewing behavior at 0.05 levels. About 3/4th of the respondents reported
knowledge and information as the main cause to see whereas lack of time,
inappropriate telecast timing and program being not interesting were reported as
major causes for non-viewing agriculture program. |
