Farm televiewing behavior of farmers in Rupandehi district of Nepal.

A study was conducted to analyze farm televiewing behavior of farmers of agricultural program of NTV. A total of 68 farmers from two cluster namely VDC and municipality was randomly selected. The study revealed majority of the farmers (56%) watched agriculture program 1-3 times a week. Most of the farmers (85%) watched program at their free time. The overall viewing behavior of majority farmers was average followed by poor and good viewing behavior. Both the rural and urban farmers had average viewing behavior. Media exposure and perceived usefulness of the program were significantly and positively related with viewing behavior at 0.05 levels. About 3/4th of the respondents reported knowledge and information as the main cause to see whereas lack of time, inappropriate telecast timing and program being not interesting were reported as major causes for non-viewing agriculture program.
