Mortality of foragers (Apis mellifera
L. and Apis cerana F.) honeybees was
studied confining worker bees (10 bees in case of
mellifera,
and 5 bees in the case of cerana
) inside Petri plate each with mango and litchi leaves smeared with Endosulfan (Thiodan
35 EC) at different concentrations (0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20) including
control, at IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. The study revealed that mortality was
negligible at lower concentration while it increased with the higher
concentration of the testing material. |
