Rijal, S. P., B. B. S. Dongol, N. P. Gupta and R. Poudel. 2007. IAAS Research Advances Vol. 2. Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. pp. 219-223.
Keywords: Farmers training, knowledge, adoption
The study was initiated to find out the
effectiveness of farmers training for cereal crop production in Myagdi and
Baglung districts in terms of differential level of knowledge gained, adoption
of recommended improved practices and yield of cereal crops of the farms. It was
found that majority of the respondents gained moderate level of knowledge and
adoption of recommended practices. The yield of rice, maize and wheat crops was
increased significantly. Age, family size, education, landholding size and
ethnicity were not related with the level of knowledge gained, and except
education, none of the personal and socio-economic factors influenced the level
of adoption on recommended practices of cereal crops.
