Response of broccoli cv. Calabrese to different levels of urine, FYM and combined fertilizer with respect to seed production.

Keywords: Broccoli cv. Calabrese, seed production, organic nutrient

This experiment was conducted in split plot design with three replications. Three urine levels @ 0, 5555.5 and 11111 lit urine/ha as main plot treatments and four FYM levels (10, 20, 40, 60 mt FYM /ha) combined fertilizer application at 20 mt FYM with 100:80:40 kg NPK/ha) were applied as subplot treatments. The Alternaria disease intensity was significantly lower (2.84) with higher dose of FYM (60 mt/ha) than at lower dose (20 mt/ha) of FYM/ha (3.22). Similarly, significantly higher seed yield of 329 kg/ha was obtained with increased level of FYM. The seed yield (329.5 kg/ha) at organic fertilizer treatment of 60 mt FYM/ha was significantly higher than that of combined fertilizer treatment (20 mt FYM + 100:80:40 kg NPK/ha), which yielded only 233.79 kg /ha.
